Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced at the IBC 2011 Conference and Exhibition that it has acquired certain assets of privately held IRIDAS, a leader in high-performance tools for digital color grading and enhancement of professional film and video content, including stereoscopic technology.

Make Creative Editing Decisions for Moving Images...
The Singapore Media Academy is running a course developed by AV8 Media. The next run for it starts on 23rd Nov 2010.
The course aims to teach one how to make creative editing decisions- basically, what makes a good cut.
There are attractive subsidies for Singaporeans & Singapore PRs as well as further subsidies for NTUC Union members via the UTAP programme.

The Sweet Spot of the new MX sensor is 800 ASA =) HD- 1080 to 2k - where most cameras in the world sit. Not enough to replace 35mm film. RED has a 5K resolution. Ted shows us Zom plates- and you can see that the images shot on the RED has a higher res (beyond 3k) than the one by a competitor with 1.6k. F35 vs RED- RED is a lot higher res and a F35 costs a couple of dollars more than a RED. Go...

RED has become a force to be reckoned with not just in movie making, but also for shooting TV dramas. They all used to be shot on 16mm film and a lot of them are now being shot on the RED. RED EPIC cam’s lighter than newborn babies I’ve carried at juz about 2.27kg or 5 pounds. It’s a huge leap in technology in a small package!
